Tom Cruise born as Thomas Cruise Mapother IV on July 3rd, 1962 in Syracuse, New York is one of the finest actors in the history of Hollywood. Tom Cruise received three Oscar nominations and won three Golden Globes including various multiple awards. Tom Cruise is also one of the most powerful producers in Hollywood with a billion-dollar movie franchise.

Tom Cruise is the son of teacher Mary Lee nee Pfeiffer and Thomas Cruise Mapother III, an electrical engineer. Tom Cruise is of German, English colonial and Welsh descent. Tom Cruise attended over fifteen schools in US and Canada finally graduating from Glen Ridge High School in New Jersey in 1980. When Tom was twelve years old his parents got separated and he went to live with his mother along with his sisters Cass, Marian, and Lee Anne and his step father Joe South. Tom Cruise was very active in his childhood and participated in athletics, hockey, football and other games and stage plays where he showcased his brilliant acting talents. Tom Cruise was married to Mimi Rogers from May 1987 to January 1990. He later got married to Nicole Kidman on December 24th, 1990. Tom and Nicole adopted a daughter named Isabella Jane born 1992 and son named Connor Anthony born February 1995. Their marriage lasted 10 years finally ending in divorce on August 8th, 2001. Tom Cruise married actress Katie Holmes on November 18th, 2006. They together have a daughter named Suri born April 18th, 2006 in Los Angeles.

Tom Cruise first got attracted to Church of Scientology through his first wife Mimi Rogers. Ever since, Tom has become a strong advocate of it campaigning for and initiating people into its fold. Tom Cruise has been working hard to get full recognition for the Church of Scientology as a religion in Europe.
